Ekaterina Ueda

English Teacher / Translator / Interpreter / International Exchange & Business Consultant

Living in Japan for 20 years! I'm Ekaterina!

Nice to meet you. My name is Ekaterina,
and I run an English conversation school in Yamaguchi Prefecture.
Thank you for visiting my website.

After graduating from the Faculty of Linguistics at the Russian State Pedagogical University,
I completed the Graduate School of International Cultural Studies at Yamaguchi Prefectural University in Japan.
Currently, I manage an English conversation school and engage in various business activities.

My career so far includes working as an interpreter for former Prime Minister Abe during diplomatic missions, providing interpretation and translation services. I have also supported international exchange events as an advisor and given lectures on human rights issues.
Additionally, I have been involved in consulting for businesses aiming to expand domestic products internationally, offering overseas business support. I have also provided total production to help domestic artists succeed abroad, supporting a wide range of individuals aiming to make their mark globally.
Furthermore, in fiscal year 2023, I was honored to be selected as the first foreign and female delegate from Yamaguchi Prefecture for the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry's Junior Chamber.

Building on my experience in interpretation, translation, and administrative consulting for other countries, I now manage six businesses in addition to running an English conversation school.

"Ekaterina's Vision"
Language is a tool for communicating with people around the world. It allows us to learn about different cultures, accept diverse perspectives, and embrace them with curiosity. Language serves as the key to making this possible.
When interacting with people and cultures from other countries, we often encounter the "language barrier." However, I believe that overcoming this barrier requires more than just studying and acquiring knowledge of another country's language.
It also involves understanding their culture, customs, and traditions, and using that understanding to communicate effectively.
My goal is to help people overcome not only the differences in language but also the barriers created by differing environments, cultures, and customs between Japan and other countries. To achieve this, I plan to continue expanding various initiatives and businesses.
